OBAMA'S DNC SPEECH...
Doing things a little different today because I was so moved last night by Obama's speech that I've been watching it all day, and it still gives me the same inspiration as it did the first time that I heard it live last night....
There aren't enough words that I feel are equivalent to describe how monumental this was to Black America's history. Forget Diddy! Barack IS the new BLACK AMERICAN DREAM and as the parent of a black male, I am so truely inspired to encourage my baby to grow up and become more than just another talented athlete or musician. To push my goddaughters to become more and exceed America's expectations. Teach our daughters that while nursing is a great career field, but becoming a physician would be even greater! To expect, strive for, and appreciate a higher education. Encourage our male children to become a successful architect and not just "settle" for becoming a construction worker. To become a CEO and not just another corporate worker! To basically NEVER strive for anything but the HIGHEST success.
Never in my 27 years have I felt so proud to be black and living in America! Besides the reality of the issues that Barack supports, the fact that so many of our black elders never thought that they would ever live to see this day because they grew up in an inhumane society is so emotionally overwhelming. The success of Obama's campaign alone should be a blunt reality check to those who still live in America today choosing to live by the same ignorant, immoral, and disrespectful habits of a racist and discriminating society!
Barack Obama has partially reached one of the ultimate goals of black society by being nominated by the Democratic party and I am so proud to be a huge part of determining the outcome of his next history making move which is becoming the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

Here's pics of Ms Solange arriving and leaving her tapping of the Letterman show which aired last night, and regardless of how she dresses, I still LOVE this chick. She's funky (in a good way lol), and not like Too fucking funky like Santogold. That chick is just too much for me! Lol Solange's performance was pretty good and make sure you go get her album, (and not the bootleg!) Sol-Angel which hit stores TODAY!

In a recent interview that Terrance Howard did with the New York Times, he revealed that he got the inspiration for another one of his piece of shit songs, No. 1 Fan, by being creepy as hell and stalking his ex-wife:
I wrote that song (No. 1 Fan) as a stalker. It was raining, and I was sitting there in front of the house, watching her come home from a date after we were divorced. I was imagining what she did on this date, and watching her giving him a kiss. I went home and wrote this song."
First the baby wipes comment, and now you're a self proclaimed stalker? I knew he was crazy from watching how he was ready to pounce on Beyonce that time when Destiny's Child did the little lap dance thing on their performance on an awards show some years back.I'm surprised after reading his statement that his psycho ass didn't jump out the car and go "Whoop That Trick's" ass for going out on a date. was the day the we lost R&B singer Aaliyah, along with 8 other passengers, in a plane crash on the way back from her video shoot in the Bahamas. She was only 22 when she passed.

Diddy announce on his video blog that he's doing yet another reality show. This one is named "Starmaker". Now am I the only one sitting here after watching this wondering how in the hell is he going to do another show looking for another star, when he hasn't even finished making my homeboy Donnie one? I wonder how Donnie feels about this. Whatev...lol

Susan Lucci is said to be on the next line up of Dancing With The Stars. I really don't too much care to see Erica Kane prancing around half naked, but I know some die hard AMC fans so I felt is was my duty to post it lol. "I don’t know what got into my head. But I decided that I needed to know once and for all what Big was really trying to do. On that night before Christmas, I drove to Big’s house on a mission to find out where I really stood.
The security guard at the gate just waved me in when I pulled up. It was Christmas Eve and she’d seen me come into the complex with the kids, so I guess she didn’t think anything of it. I parked in the rear of Big’s town house and walked up to the garage. It was locked. I hadn’t been over to Big’s house a whole lot but I did know that you jiggle the garage door a certain way and unlock it.
I got into the garage, where there was an elevator that would take me to both floors of Big’s duplex. There I was, rocking a black skully cap and a heavy goose-down jacket, tiptoeing into the elevator and pressing the button to go up to the second floor, where his bedroom was located. I got to Big’s bedroom door, turned the knob, and went inside. As soon as I saw a small lump next to Big’s large frame, I flew into a rage, ran over to the side of the bed, and pulled back the covers. I grabbed some chick our of the bed and started beating her ass. At some point, the chick’s wig came off in my hand; It was a short, cropped wig. I stopped throwing punches for a minute to get a good look at the chick I was beating up. It was Lil Kim. She was completely butt-naked, yelling as I pushed her around the room.
“So you not fucking her, right?” I screamed at Big. “Yeah, you not messing with her anymore,right?”
When they heard all the commotion, Cease, D-Roc, and Gutter came running into the room. ‘Oh shit!” they yelled in unison. “It’s Faye! How the hell she get in here?”
Big sat up in bed and pointed at Kim, who was standing in a corner of the room, trying to cover her naked body with her hands while I was still yelling at Big. “Yo, get her outta here,’ Big said. They led Kim out of the room and she screamed and cursed the whole way.
It was absolutely crazy in that house. Kim was naked and being led somewhere to get dressed. I was still screaming on Big. Damion, Cease, and Gutter were laughing in amazement that I would be so bold. And Big looked like he was just too through with all of us. He sat up in bed shaking his head. Kim left the house and I stayed, talking to Big about why he couldn’t be honest with me about her.
‘I thought it was all about Tiffany?” I asked. You still messing with Kim, too?” Big had nothing to say. I have to say I actually felt some pity for Kim. Big had a wife, and she settled for messing with him. Then he started dating Tiffany and Big had a wife and a mistress. And Kim still settled for being other other woman. It seemed pretty sad to settle for that.
When I left a few hours later to get the kids, I noticed that Kim had taken my key to my Land Cruiser and scratched up my entire car, from the hood to the back bumper. Even though we ended up having sex that day, at that point I decided I was 100 percent through. I was not going to be a ride or die chick, always going to lengths to show Big how I felt. I was the mother of his child and his wife. But I was going to have to let go."
Ok, I think that my interest in this book has slowly depreciated because her kicking Lil Kim's ass seems like it may be the best part of the book lol. And I'm pissed that her dumb ass still had sex with the nigga after all this lol.

This video of K-CI and JOJO performing at a venue somewhere in Australia on their "reunion" tour (where the hell was everybody else if it was a reunion lol) had me laughing so fucking hard, I almost pissed myself! But then after laying there for like....forever, in front of the whole concert because K-CI is too busy trying to remember the damn words to the song that they've been singing for 100yrs now, JoJO got up like nothing happened. Then only after the song was nearly finished did the two embraced in a crakheadish kinda hug and walk off stage. OMG! I can go on for like an hour laughing at this shit, but I don't think my fingers could take it! LMAO....Just Say No to drugs damn!

Word on the streets up here in the "D" (Detroit!) is that Mr. Shit Talk aka Yung Berg got a lot of "Tha Bizzness" his damn self at a Detroit club last night. I'm not one for violence (lol) but I am one to point out a well deserved ass kicking when it's needed and BABY, I'm hearing Mr Christian Ward (lmao @ "Christian"...you can't be HARD with that name!)got his infamous Transformer chain snatched and him AND his security got those asses kicked something serious. And not only that, but his album, Look What You Made Me, is a fucking flop. I bet his BabyMama is somewhere on the verge of vomiting her lunch from laughing so damn hard at the bad Karma surrounding YB right now!
Berg is set to perform at HOT102.7's Summer Jam Concert tonight but right now, I sincerely doubt that he'll take the stage considering the great "welcome to Detroit" greeting he received last night! I'll keep you posted on this one!

People Magazine is reporting that Gwen and her husband, Gavin, named the new additon to their family "Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale". Are you kidding me? Really? I"m not really in the mood this morning to think of anything snappy to say to make everybody understand how confused I am on why stars do that to their kids, but I guess it's kinda like the same way that "my people" (lol) give their kids names with a whole bunch of silent ass letters and apostraphes and shit! Moving on......

Anyhoo....Shawntae Harris aka Da Brat was sentenced to 3yrs in prison and 7yrs probation for cracking a waitress in the face with a bottle and permanently scarring her last Halloween at Jermaine Dupri's Studio 72 Nightclub in Atlanta. My nosey ass still wants to know why Da Brat went nuts on the girl in the first place! And while I was searching for a pic to post, I came across this....

The first African American woman to represent the state of Ohio in Congress has passed away yesterday evening. Yesterday morning, news sources reported that Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs suffered an aneurysm while she was driving in Cleveland and she was taken to an East Cleveland hospital where she remained in critical condition until she suffered a brain hemorrhage and passed away. The East Cleveland hospital where the Congresswoman was being treated at has released an official statement:
Tubbs Jones, 58, died at 6:12 p.m. after suffering a brain hemorrhage that caused an aneurysm that burst and left her with limited brain function, spokeswoman Eileen Sheil said “Throughout the course of the day and into this evening, Congresswoman Tubbs Jones’ medical condition declined,” Sheil saidin a statement from the clinic and Tubbs Jones’ family.
My condolences goes out to her family.

Yesterday morning, news sources reported that Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs suffered an aneurysm while she was driving in Cleveland and she was taken to an East Cleveland hospital where she remained in critical condition until she suffered a brain hemorrhage and passed away. The East Cleveland hospital where the Congresswoman was being treated at has released an official statement:
Tubbs Jones, 58, died at 6:12 p.m. after suffering a brain hemorrhage that caused an aneurysm that burst and left her with limited brain function, spokeswoman Eileen Sheil said “Throughout the course of the day and into this evening, Congresswoman Tubbs Jones’ medical condition declined,” Sheil saidin a statement from the clinic and Tubbs Jones’ family.
My condolences goes out to her family.

Yes! I'm hitting the blog a little earlier today, but please excuse me if there are typos and grammatical errors because ya girl is suffering from a MAYJAH hangover and I can vomit any second now! Lol....Anyhoo....let's get to it!

If anything, Frankie and Neffie's nappy headed asses need to be plastered on the front of those boxes because we all know that Keyshia has a little Indian going on in that hair line and it ain't from using that damn Pink Oil!
Janet Jackson is said to be launching her own line of lingerie called "Pleasure Principle" in early 2009. The line, that's named after her hit single on her "Control" album that was released in 1986, is said to be made a comfortable fit for a variety of women ranging in size 32A-44G. First up....LisaRaye!
Somehow (and I think we all can pretty much guess who "accidentally" released them to ESSENCE mag...mmmmhhhhhmmm) these pics of Lisa Raye (and I am REALLY fighting my urge to call chick "Diamond" lol) surfaced on the web today. The photos are of the markings she allegedly recieved while being escorted from her soon to be ex-husband Michael Misick's home. Now, my "babymama" intuition is telling me that LisaRaye...fuck it, I'm calling her Diamond...Diamond got a little pissy when those photos of her Golden Ticket (aka Mr Misick) was all boo'd up with "Whacksi" from 106&Park! And I don't blame her.....go ahead Diamond, Ring the Alarm on that ass! And "Whacksi" (Rocsi, duh!) better watch her ass too because I'm pretty sure Dia-I mean LisaRaye, would whoop that ass in a heartbeat like she did Ebony on Player's Club!
Completely unrelated but still sorta relevant, chick also had a real photoshoot done by famed photographer, Derek Blanks, and she is given the fierceness....chick is still F-A-B!!! Make me wanna go grab some spandex, my son's Huffy, and a Polaroid and pose in the middle of these Detroit streets! LMAO

Congrats also goes out to Boston Celtic player, Ray Allen, and his new wife Shannon. They tied the knot this weekend at a home in Martha's Vineyard. Sources say the couple had Brian McKnight sing my all time favorite wedding song EVER, "Never Felt This Way", as Shannon made her way down the aisle in her Melissa Sweet gown....awwww! Black love is a beautiful thing!
